A fluffy spider that stays neat
A lot of fluffy fringe designs look cute in the first photo, then make stitchers wonder how they will hold up after the first wash. I built this spider with a special seam under the fringe so the fuzzy body stays in place instead of pulling loose. That one detail changes the whole project. You still get the soft chenille look, but the finish is secure and practical for real things people use and wash.
The stitching itself is simple. Stitch it as usual, then turn the hoop over, cut the bobbin thread behind the large satin stitches, and fluff the fringe on the front.
I also kept the size range focused on small projects. The 3 inch, 3.5 inch, and 4 inch versions work well when you want a Halloween design for baby and kids items, treat bags, shirts, or little seasonal gifts without a huge stitch area. It gives you that furry spider texture people notice right away, but it does not ask you to learn a complicated method first.
