A light design for places fabric would feel too heavy
Sometimes you want a shape that looks finished on both sides and stays light enough for a mobile, a hair clip, or a small extra on a gift. That is the job this dragonfly set solves. I digitized it as freestanding lace, so you stitch directly on wash-away stabilizer instead of building it on fabric, then rinse and dry it flat when the stitching is done.
The size range helps with that too. You get four versions at 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4 inches, which makes it easier to match the dragonfly to a small craft instead of forcing one size into every project.
This is also a good choice if you want one design that can move between kid projects and simple home items. One buyer used the dragonflies in a nursery mobile, and another turned them into refrigerator magnets. Different jobs, same file. The freestanding lace build is what makes that possible, because the dragonflies are not tied to a towel edge, quilt block, or shirt front. They can stand on their own.

This set is made as freestanding lace, not as an appliqué file. If you need an appliqué version, I can create one.
Yes. You need to unzip the downloaded ZIP files before you can use the embroidery files on your machine.
I recommend standard 40 wt polyester embroidery thread with normal bobbin thread. Since this is freestanding lace, use a non-woven water-soluble wash-away stabilizer for the base.
