The part I kept adjusting
The longest part to get right was not the pumpkin shape. It was the puzzle itself. In the 5 inch size, the pieces and the inner cuts had to stay clear enough to stitch well on felt, but still look like a real little game when the pumpkin was put back together. I kept paying attention to those small puzzle details so the smallest size would still work as a finished project, not just look good in the preview.
I also wanted the floral look to feel soft and fall-like without crowding the puzzle edges. That balance matters. Too much detail near the cut areas can make a small felt project harder to finish neatly, especially on the smallest version.
This design is made as an in-the-hoop kids game idea, and felt is a natural fit for it. You get four size options, 5, 6, 7, and 8 inches, so you can choose something small for little hands or go larger if you want the puzzle pieces easier to handle. If you like making seasonal quiet-time projects, this one fits right into fall stitching.
