Getting the drip to read cleanly

This alphabet started with the shape, not the fill. A melted letter has to look soft and droopy, but the embroidery file still has to keep each edge readable once thread lands on fabric. I had to redraw several of the drips so they looked uneven in the right way without closing up counters or making the bottoms stitch too heavy, especially in the smaller sizes.

Then I built two versions that could live together in one set. Short test runs matter.

The fill stitch block letters needed enough body to feel bold, while the outline style had to keep the same spooky silhouette without looking thin or shaky. I matched the sizes so you can mix the two styles in one name or monogram and still keep the lettering balanced. That took more testing than it sounds like, because a shape that works as a filled letter does not always behave the same way as an outline once it is resized across seven heights.

I also kept the character set practical for real projects. You get capital letters A through Z, numbers 0 through 9, and punctuation, so this set works for names, short words, dates, and small seasonal shop pieces. Linda called it a cool font for Halloween and said it stitched out great, which is exactly what I want from a design like this.

useful buying questions
Would a smaller size be possible?

This set includes sizes from 1.5 inches up to 5 inches. I do not list anything smaller for this font here, so the smallest included size is 1.5 inches.

Do I need a special thread weight, or can I use standard embroidery thread?

Standard embroidery thread can be used for this font. That is a good fit for both included styles.

Can I use this design in Word or convert it to a TTF font?

No. This is an embroidery font in BX and machine embroidery formats, so it is made for embroidery software and embroidery machines, not for Word as a true type font.

Is there any way I could get it in VP3 format?

Yes. VP3 is already included with this font, along with BX, PES, DST, EXP, VIP, HUS, XXX, and JEF.
