I drew this pumpkin design for that exact spot, so the embroidery belongs with the cutout instead of fighting it. The bow shape follows the side opening, and the pumpkin details keep the look seasonal without covering the whole shirt front.
The stitch construction matters here. I used applique for the main shape so the design can stay bold without getting heavy, then added lace-effect areas where the background fabric shows through. That openwork keeps the side bow look visible, which is usually the whole reason you bought the shirt in the first place. It also gives the pumpkin a lighter feel on both tees and sweatshirts.
