Please read all instructions before starting your project.

Step 1 – Hoop and Placement Stitch

Hoop the fabric where the bird will be embroidered. The first stitch will be the appliqué placement stitch.

Choose the desired ribbon colors. Fold the ribbons and place them inside the marked shape. Secure the ribbons carefully with tape.

For difficult fabrics, you may use double-sided tape or spray adhesive if needed.

Step 2 – Ribbon Tack Down

1. The next step will be the ribbon tack-down seam.
2. Stop the machine when prompted.
3. Do NOT unhoop your project yet.

IMPORTANT: Never hold fabric with your hands while the machine is running – it is dangerous.

Step 3 – Bird Body Appliqué

• Place the bird body appliqué fabric inside the marked shape.
• Secure with tape or a pin.
• Stitch the appliqué tack-down seam.
• Stop the machine. Do NOT unhoop.

Trim the excess fabric.

Step 4 – Wing Appliqué

1. Place the wing appliqué fabric inside the marked shape.
2. Stitch the appliqué tack-down seam.
3. Stop the machine. Do NOT unhoop.
4. Trim excess fabric.

Final Step

The final step will be the satin stitch outline and face.
