Fringed Macaw Embroidery
using Water Soluble Bobbin Thread

Embroidery Instructions

Embroidery Options

You can stitch this fringed design in two different ways:

  • Option 1: using Water-Soluble Bobbin Thread (WS Bobbin)

For this method, you’ll need both water-soluble bobbin thread and regular bobbin thread, and you’ll switch between them during stitching. Once the design is finished:

* Unhoop your project
* Turn it over to the back side
* Moisten the bobbin thread to dissolve it
* Turn your project right side up
* Gently fluff up the fringe
* Lay your project flat and let it dry

  • Option 2: Using Regular Bobbin Thread Only

You can also stitch the design using only regular bobbin thread (no switching needed). When finished:

* Turn your hoop over to see the reverse side.
* Carefully cut the bobbin thread along the large satin stitches.
* Turn the hoop back over and fluff up the fringe.

Tips

● For best results, use polyester embroidery threads. It’s more durable, and your fringe will hold its shape and look great over time.

● Keep your water-soluble bobbin thread dry and stored in a sealed container. It dissolves very quickly, even a small amount of moisture can affect it.
