The part I kept adjusting
The detail that took me the longest here was the balance between the tree shape and the open lace effect. I wanted the background fabric to show through clearly, but I also needed the branches to read as a Christmas tree right away, not a loose stack of ruffles. That meant adjusting the light stitching so the shape stayed festive and soft at the same time.
The bow mattered too. A small bow can disappear fast once a design gets airy, so I kept working that top area until it had enough presence to finish the tree without making the whole design feel heavy.
