how it helps

A fluffy look without loose feathers everywhere

A fringed design can be fun to look at and still feel like too much work once you sit down at the machine. The usual worry is simple. If you cut the bobbin threads to make the fluff, what keeps the whole thing from coming apart after wear and washing. I built this flamingo flock to answer that exact problem with a seam that holds the fringe in place, so you get the soft feathery edge without losing the shape.

The stitching itself is straightforward. You embroider the flamingo as usual, then turn the hoop over and cut the bobbin thread under the large loose satin stitches. Turn it back, fluff the fringe, and the texture appears. Short step, big change.

This set was also updated to run lighter and help prevent thread breaks. That matters on a design like this because the finish depends on those loose satin areas behaving well while you stitch and while you snip. You get four flamingos in the set, sized at 4, 4.5, 5.5, 6, and 7 inches for 5x7 and larger hoops, so it gives you room to place one bird on a shirt or build a fuller scene on a bigger project.

how buyers used it
“Loved this whimsical design. It stitched out perfectly, and was easy to fluff out the feathers. It just took a little bit of time to do to make sure that I got them all snipped from the backside of the embroidery. Having never done it before, I wanted to be careful not to snip the wrong thing. I was”

Loved this design was stuck on if this or the 5 flamingos 🦩 but I’m over the moon with how it turned out. Seller is super helpful with any queries. I’d chosen my cotton with slight darkness so thought it was just pink, but it was an ombré thread. Which worked out perfectly on this design. This desig
