Getting the dinosaur shape to read clearly
This dinosaur needed more testing than a simple filled silhouette because the pattern is built into the embroidery and the fabric shows through the open areas. I had to keep the long neck, rounded back, tail, and legs easy to read at every included size, even after the inner patchwork lines were added. A brachiosaurus can turn muddy fast if those sections crowd each other. I redrew the spacing until the shape stayed clear.
The hardest part was balance. Too much pattern and the animal disappeared. Too little and it stopped feeling like patchwork.
I also had to watch the outline path so the design still felt clean on kids items, where this kind of dinosaur usually lands. The set includes five sizes from 5 to 8 inches, and that matters here because a line that works at 8 inches can feel too tight at 5 inches. I tested the structure across the size range and kept the look consistent instead of letting the smallest file become a different design.
