Made for fabric that needs some personality
This one starts with the finished feel. I picture it on a kid shirt, a sweatshirt, a little forest-themed bag, or anything that needs a funny, shaggy silhouette instead of a flat stitched shape. Gentlefoot has that soft outline you only get from fringe, so the finished piece looks furry right away and still reads clearly as Bigfoot.
I built the design to stay simple at the machine. You stitch it in one color, then turn the hoop over and cut the bobbin thread under the long satin areas on the back. After that, you turn it face up and fluff the fringe around. That is the whole trick. I also put a seam under the fringe so it stays in place through washing, which matters for clothes and things that get handled a lot.
The sizes are practical for home embroiderers. You get three versions, about 5, 5.5, and 6 inches tall, with actual file sizes from 3.59 by 5.11 inches up to 4.35 by 6.19 inches. It fits the kind of project where you want one character to carry the whole front without adding extra fabric pieces or extra thread changes.
