The redraw work behind this bow
This bow had to read as a pencil right away, even at the smallest size, so I had to pay attention to where each section changed color and how clearly the shape held after trimming. With a felt project that finishes at about 2 inches in the 4x4 hoop, there is not much room for fuzzy edges or crowded details. I kept the layout simple on purpose.
The testing on a project like this is less about adding more and more detail, and more about checking what still looks clean once the bow is assembled and worn. The design stitches as a shaped file first, then you trim away the extra material, so the edge placement matters. A tiny shift can change how neat the finished bow looks.
I also had to think about the person making several of these for school season, craft fairs, or grandkids. It needed to stitch quickly, assemble without a struggle, and still look cute in each hoop size. That is why I kept it in three practical sizes only: about 2 inches, 2.5 inches, and 3 inches finished.
