A fall bow with body, not a flat stitched piece
A turkey bow has to do two jobs at once. It needs to read clearly as a turkey for Thanksgiving and fall outfits, and it also needs to act like a real bow once it is clipped or tied on. That is the problem this design answers. I made it as a 3D in-the-hoop felt project, so the shape is built into the project itself instead of depending on stiff handling after the stitching is done.
For a stitcher, that matters. Flat pieces can look cute in the hoop and then lose their shape once they are worn, especially on a busy school morning or at a craft table where you are making several at a time. This project is sized for 5x7, 6x10, and 8x8 hoops, with finished bows about 3.5, 4, 4.5, and 5.3 inches, so you can choose a smaller or fuller look without changing the basic idea of the bow.
I also kept it practical to stitch at home. You get the digital embroidery files, a PDF with directions, and JPG thread color charts, so you can go from download to hooping without guessing through the build.
