What I had to test before these felt finished
Shell shapes look simple until you try to make them sit cleanly as finished pieces in several hoop sizes. I had to redraw the curves so the rounded top and the narrower base still looked balanced at 4 inches, then again at the larger sizes where a line that looked fine on screen started to feel too flat in stitching. The edge mattered most. A shell needs a neat outline.
Because this set is meant for napkins, doilies, and coasters, I paid attention to how the border reads as a finished object, not just as a pretty stitch file. Satin stitch was part of that test. It had to cover nicely around the turns without making the edges look heavy or clumsy, especially on the smaller versions where every little curve shows. That is also why I kept the set broad on size options, with all three designs from 4 through 8 inches and Shell 2 extended to 9 and 10 inches for a larger table piece.
I also wanted the three shapes to feel related without looking repeated. So this set gives you three different shell versions instead of one outline resized and called done. If you are stitching a mixed table set, that difference helps.
