Are Artapli downloads compatible with the Brother SE2000?

Yes. The Brother SE2000 uses PES embroidery files, and Artapli downloads include PES. Artspira can import external PES and DST embroidery files and transfer them to supported wireless Brother machines, including the SE2000.

Do I need additional embroidery software?

No additional software is required just to stitch a ready-to-use Artapli design. You can unzip the download, import the PES file into Artspira, and transfer it to your SE2000.

If you purchased an embroidery font and want to create a complete name or phrase, use the free Artapli Lettering Tool to build the lettering and export one finished PES file. You can then import that PES file into Artspira.

What you need

• Your Brother SE2000 with the latest available machine update
• The embroidery unit attached and the machine connected to Wi-Fi
• The Artspira app on a supported phone or tablet
• Your downloaded and unzipped Artapli design
• The PES file in a size no larger than the SE2000's 5×7-inch embroidery field

Step 1: Download and unzip the Artapli files

1. Download the ZIP file from your Etsy order or Artapli order.
2. Open your phone's Files or Downloads location and extract the ZIP.
3. Open the extracted folder and locate the PES version of the design.
4. Check the size information supplied with the design and choose a file that fits the SE2000's 5×7-inch maximum area.

Artspira cannot import the ZIP itself. Import the extracted PES file.

Step 2: Import the PES file into Artspira

1. Open Artspira.
2. Tap My Creations.
3. Tap the + button at the top of the page.
4. Choose Import external files.
5. Select the extracted PES file.
6. Wait while Artspira saves the design. It will then appear in My Creations.

Step 3: Transfer the design to the Brother SE2000

1. Open the imported design in Artspira.
2. Review the design details and tap Create.
3. Make any supported positioning or color adjustments, then tap Done.
4. Select your connected Brother SE2000 as the receiving machine.
5. Tap Transfer and wait for the confirmation that the data was sent.
6. On the SE2000, enter embroidery mode and open the wireless transfer/data pocket to retrieve the design.
7. Confirm the hoop size, design position, color sequence, and stabilizer before stitching.

Using an Artapli font with the SE2000 and Artspira

Individual font letters are embroidery designs. You can place them one at a time, but it is faster to build the whole word first:

1. Open the Artapli Lettering Tool.
2. Use an available font or connect the purchase that contains your Artapli font.
3. Type and arrange the complete name or phrase.
4. Choose a 5×7-or-smaller layout and export PES.
5. Import that completed PES file into Artspira using the steps above.

Troubleshooting

The file does not appear in Artspira

• Confirm that you extracted the ZIP and selected the PES file itself.
• Artspira supports PES, PHC, PHX, and DST embroidery files; for the SE2000, PES is the simplest choice from an Artapli download.
• Download the design again and import it directly. Brother notes that another embroidery-viewing app may sometimes alter a file.

The design is too large

The SE2000's maximum embroidery field is 5×7 inches. Return to the Artapli download and select a smaller supplied size. Do not force a larger design into the hoop.

Transfer is unavailable

• Confirm that the SE2000 is selected in Artspira.
• Confirm that both the machine and mobile device have working network connections.
• Attach the embroidery unit before retrieving embroidery data on the machine.
