Why this alphabet looks different
A lot of Halloween alphabets lean hard into rough edges or skinny spooky lines. I took a different path here. The base is a varsity block, so the letters still read fast on shirts, bags, and team style pieces, then I added the melted drip shape over that clean structure. You get the Halloween mood without losing the bold letterform that makes a name easy to read across the room.
That contrast matters. The solid collegiate shape keeps each letter familiar, while the dripping edge gives it the costume-party feel people want in October.
I also made it as applique, which changes the finished look in a good way. Instead of filling a whole big letter with stitches, you can bring in your own fabric and let the shape do the work. A black print, orange glittery cotton, purple solids, or even old sports scraps can completely change the result. Since I included capital letters A through Z and numbers 0 through 9 in five heights from 3, 3.6, 4.3, 5, and 6 inches, you have room to build a quick monogram or a larger name with the same style.
