Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

The design was very cute and stitched out fine but there was no tack down stitch for the appliqué on the body of the plane. It is ok without as the lines were pretty thin but not the effect I wanted and it was too late to go back and restitch the placement stitch. Disappointed
