Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

The cow face with a bow is a very cute design! Stitched out nicely. Just be aware that the white of the face doesn’t have any stitching-it’s the background fabric.
