One 2 in design stitches a pair of freestanding lace flamingo earrings with fluffy fringe. Stitch on wash-away stabilizer, cut and fluff the fringe, then rinse and let it dry.

Freestanding lace! I recommend using Vilene or any other fabric-like water-soluble stabilizer (not the clear film type).
Simply hoop only the water-soluble stabilizer, stitch out the design, rinse away the stabilizer, and let it dry.
