Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

The rainbow cloud with numbers, stitches out perfectly! I absolutely love this design. Last year I used the 3 for a friend's nieces birthday and it was her favorite shirt all year, so this year she wanted 4th. The design is perfect!!
