Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

Great design, stitched out perfectly. Great underlay, lots of tack down for the applique and nice wide dense satin stitch. My only recommendation would be a file with the fire dog and hydrant together as displayed. I had no trouble combining and masking but I imagine there are other people who would rather load and stitch the design. Definitely recommend this designer Excellent work.
