Fluffy fringed flowers and a heart as a split seam side bow in applique, for girls' t-shirts and sweatshirts.
The design comes in five sizes: 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5 and 8 inches. It is stitched along a cut side seam. Stitch as usual, then cut the bobbin thread under the long satin stitches and fluff up the fringe. A tack seam holds the fringe in place, so it is safe to wash.

Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.
