Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

When I found out my two year old grand nephew's favorite animal was a llama, I found this design and so glad I did. It was cute and easy to stitch. I made him this t-shirt with the fuzzy llama for his 2nd birthday and it was only the 3rd appliqued/embroidered t-shirt I've ever made!
