Birthday numbers 1 to 6 with a little fairy silhouette, done as applique. Made for girls' birthday shirts and party outfits.
Numbers 1 to 6, each about 7 inches, applique with a wide satin edge.
Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

The design stitched nicely. I was a little concerned at first because there was a lot of outline stitching around the applique pieces before the satin stitching but it turned out very nice! At my friend’s suggestion, I added a little “tulle” skirt to the fairy to give a little bit of dimension to it. 😊
