A curly mermaid tail bow in freestanding lace. Sweet on hair clips, headbands, party favors and summer gifts.

The finished bow is about 4 inches. All pieces are stitched in one hooping, then put together with a few hand stitches in the center.

Freestanding lace! I recommend using Vilene or any other fabric-like water-soluble stabilizer (not the clear film type).
Simply hoop only the water-soluble stabilizer, stitch out the design, rinse away the stabilizer, and let it dry.
