A split side seam cutout with a small inverse scallop edge. It turns a plain t-shirt or sweatshirt into a stylish side-slit top for girls, kids and adults.
The cutout comes in eight sizes: 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 inches. The edge is stitched as an applique, then the fabric inside is cut open to form a neat, finished slit at the side seam.
Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

Wow! Of all the side seam designs I've purchased from this talented and creative Etsy shop, this may be my favorite! I've used the side seam designs on tshirts, and also the bottom of knit warm up pants. Gosh this is super cute! Thanks a bunch!
