Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

Great cute design! Stitched out as expected and user friendly as a beginner who wants to attempt appliqué. The only issues I had was in understanding my own learning curve with appliqué. But the steps were straightforward and easy to follow! I was able to change the colors that I wanted on my machine. Can’t wait to give it to my niece for her birthday!
