Adorable Little Fringed Kitten Kitty Cat Design

What I had to test before this kitten was ready
A fringed animal has to do two jobs at once. It has to read clearly as a cat before you cut anything, and it has to get fluffier and softer looking after you cut the bobbin threads under the loose satin stitches. For this kitten, I had to keep the face simple enough for the small sizes, then build in enough fringe around the paws and fur so the finished piece would still look full after washing.
The seam under the fringe mattered most. I tested a holding seam so the cut fringe stays in place through the wash, because a fluffy design is only fun if it still looks good later.
I also had to think about where a stitcher would cut and where she should not. On this kitten, some long stitches are part of the nose and paw areas, so the design had to be clear enough that the fluffy parts could be opened up without ruining the details. That is why I include directions in the PDF, and why I kept this one in baby and kids friendly sizes at 3, 3.5, and 4 inches.

Darling - the largest size was much easier to "fluff." I had a terrible time finding the right threads to cut with the smallest size - but it is still darling!
There needs to be thicker rolls on the fringe on the cat's face. Also the white in the middle has a gap there too.
