The outline took the longest
When I digitized this font, the part that took me the longest was not the block shape. It was the thin bean stitch outline around each letter. I wanted that edge to stay light and clean, so the letters still read as solid block initials instead of getting visually heavy.
That balance matters even more across seven sizes, from 0.9 inch up to 3.5 inches. A line that looks right on a larger letter can feel too strong on a small one, so I had to keep adjusting until the outline supported the fill stitch instead of competing with it.
The finished look is simple and useful: a block alphabet with a little definition around the edges. You get uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and punctuation, so it works for names, monograms, and short words without needing to mix in another font.
