Two skull butterflies in freestanding lace for a 3D look, fun for Halloween shirts, hair clips, bags and Day of the Dead decor.

Both butterflies come in four sizes: 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 inches. Stitched on wash-away stabilizer, then rinsed and dried, so the lace stands on its own.

What's included

  • 2 skull butterflies in freestanding lace
  • 4 sizes, 2 to 3.5 in

Place puffy foam on top of fabric when prompted and stitch over it. Remove excess foam after stitching.

These butterflies stitched out great! I made them out of glow-in-the-dark thread to go on my front door's wreath and I love how they turned out! The antenna did unravel a little bit, but that may have been user error (I think I only did one layer of stabilizer, two would have been better)

Ok, it stitched beautifully, but after dissolving the stabilizer, it was unravelling in some places (see picture). I cut the thread that was unravelling and I used some fabric glue to make sure it won’t do it again. And because the teeth were not properly stitched, i used fabric permanent marker to make it look better. So, i recommend this file because it’s beautiful, but make sure you have fabric glue and at least a sharpie marker for the in between spaces (see final picture, the marker made the details better). I stitched it 3 times today and second time was a complete failure 🫣first and th
