Stitch the placement line, place a piece of appliqué fabric over it, then stitch the tack-down line. Trim the excess fabric close to the seam, and finish with the cover stitches.

The pocket was much smaller than i imagined, because the whole design fits in 4x4. and i would have liked it if the red cross was stitched first so i could stitch it separately on a free pocket instead of stitching it last and losing the pocket function. it stitched out beautifully.

This design stitched out OK... It is cute for the putting on children's garments...only that I had to stitch the ear plugs to the stethoscope twice because, it stitches out the body/cords of the stethoscope and then when it goes to stitch out the ear plugs, the thread for the cords shows... I stitched this design out 3 times, using different brands of threads to make sure it wasn't the thread causing the seeping through.. but nope, it was the design... Other than than, its cute.
