Using Alphabets in PE-Design 11

You can work with your purchased alphabet files in three different ways. Here's how to use them step-by-step:

Option 1: Quick Drag & Drop Method (Most Convenient)

This is the fastest and easiest way to build words from your letter files.

  1. Unzip the download folder first
  2. Open the unzipped folder on your computer
  3. Hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard
  4. Select only the letter files you need (in the correct order)
  5. Drag and drop them directly into PE-Design 11
  6. Arrange the letters as needed

Option 2: Use “Import Patterns” on the Right-Side Menu

  1. Open PE-Design 11
  2. On the right-side menu, click “Import Patterns”
  3. Hold the CTRL key on your keyboard
  4. Select the letters you want to use
  5. Click Open — they will appear in your project
  6. Move, align, or size them as needed

Option 3: Map the Letters as a Font (One-Time Setup)

If you plan to reuse the same alphabet often, you can map the letters inside PE-Design 11 and save them as a typeable font.

  1. Open PE-Design 11
  2. Follow the steps to assign each letter to a keyboard key
  3. Save the mapped font to your software

Before using any of the options above, be sure to unzip your downloaded file.

Windows:

  • Right-click the ZIP file
  • Select "Extract All…"
  • Choose a folder where you can easily find the files
