ART Bernina Machines
Using Fonts with Bernina Machines – Important Format Info
If you're using a Bernina embroidery machine, you might be familiar with the ART file format. However, it’s important to note that EXP has become the more widely supported and up-to-date format for Bernina users — and it’s included in every download folder from my shop.
Why EXP is Recommended:
-
It is officially supported by Bernina’s software and machines
-
Most current Bernina users now use EXP for smooth and reliable stitching
-
It’s much more flexible and easier to work with across different platforms
Why I Don’t Offer ART Format:
My designs are created using professional digitizing software that does not generate ART files, because:
-
I work with stitch files, not vector-based or editable font objects
-
ART files require proprietary Bernina software that limits accessibility
-
The font files I offer are ready-to-stitch and not meant to be edited or typed as fonts within software
Want to Try EXP?
If you haven’t used EXP before, I highly recommend giving it a try — it works beautifully with Bernina machines and is very easy to load and stitch.
If you need help locating or using the EXP files in your download folder, feel free to reach out — I’ll be happy to assist!
